Quick Facts Fells Point
A 20-Minute Drive from Fells Point to a Calm, Light-Filled Studio

From Fells Point, my Timonium studio takes about twenty minutes north — Aliceanna Street west to I-83, then straight up to the Timonium exit. The drive is longer than from northern Baltimore neighborhoods, but Fells Point families consistently tell me it’s worth the trip for the studio experience. You bring nothing but the baby.
The studio is set up so you don’t need to think about anything once you arrive:
You bring the baby. I handle the rest.
What Fells Point Families Get with Their Newborn Session

Newborn sessions at my studio are posed studio sessions — purpose-built for newborn safety, careful posing, and gallery-grade results. The studio environment matters: warm controlled temperature for baby’s comfort, professional lighting designed for newborn skin tones, soundproofed rooms so the baby can sleep deeply, and an extensive collection of wraps, props, and baskets that have been tested over fifteen years. Lifestyle and in-home sessions have their place, but for the kind of careful, gallery-grade newborn portraits that hold up on your wall fifteen years from now, a controlled studio environment makes a measurable difference. That difference comes from more than 15 years of newborn-photography experience.
Your baby will be photographed:
Sessions last two to three hours. That sounds long, but it moves easily because we work around feeds, naps, and any pauses your baby needs.
Why Fells Point Families Choose Ana Koska Photography

I’ve been photographing newborns for over fifteen years — full-time newborn specialization. Newborns require careful posing, specialized lighting setup, and someone who’s seen everything that can happen during a session. That’s what fifteen years of full-time newborn work gives you.
My work was recognized by Expertise.com among Baltimore’s Best Newborn Photographers in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2024.
Newborn sessions start at $600 for the MINI package (5 digital images and a gallery of 20). The RUBY package is $900 (10 digital images, 50-70 gallery), and DIAMOND is $1,100 (20 digital images, 50-70 gallery). Each package includes a 2-3 hour studio session with Ana.

When to Book Your Newborn Session
The best time to schedule a newborn session is during your second trimester, before things get hectic. Booking early secures a window in your due-date range.
The actual session happens within the first five to fourteen days after your baby is born — when newborns still curl easily and sleep deeply.
Most Fells Point families deliver at Johns Hopkins Hospital in East Baltimore — about five minutes northeast of Fells Point, the closest delivery hospital. Some families also choose MedStar Union Memorial further north or MedStar Harbor Hospital near the Inner Harbor. Wherever you deliver, once you’re settled at home, call or message me and we schedule the session for whatever day works best in that first two-week window.
Fells Point Newborn Photography Notes

Fells Point sits on Baltimore’s southeast waterfront — founded in 1763, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, with the cobblestone streets and historic 18th and 19th century architecture to prove it. Broadway Market (established 1786) is one of the oldest continuously-operating public markets in America. The Recreation Pier — now The Sagamore Pendry hotel — sits where ships once unloaded cargo from around the world. Families here often have a deep connection to the neighborhood’s history and waterfront character.
Fells Point is part of the broader Baltimore newborn photography service area, with regular families from across southeast Baltimore — Canton, Upper Fells Point, the broader Inner Harbor area. My experience spans the same neighborhoods I’ve been photographing for over fifteen years.

“My family and I had a great experience with Ana! I was worried with twin toddlers that the experience would be a disaster, but Ana provided tips ahead of time (which I should have followed), was very patient and kind and still managed to capture some great photos. We’re very pleased with the quality of photos we received and will definitely reach out to Ana for our photography needs in the future. Highly recommend!“
