A 6-Minute Drive from Cockeysville to a Calm, Light-Filled Studio

From Cockeysville, my Lutherville studio is just six minutes south down York Road. The studio is at 2211 Spring Lake Dr in Lutherville-Timonium — literally on the path between Cockeysville and GBMC, a route most families will already know from prenatal visits. Either way, you’re at the studio in under ten minutes.
The studio is set up so you don’t need to think about anything once you arrive:
- Reserved parking right at the door
- Warm, controlled temperature for baby
- A quiet, private room for nursing or settling in
- Wraps, swaddles, headbands, bonnets, and baskets ready
- A wardrobe closet for parents and siblings if you’d like to use it
You bring the baby. I handle the rest.
What Cockeysville Families Get with Their Newborn Session

Newborn sessions at my studio are posed sessions — what some families call classic newborn photography. The studio is set up specifically for newborn safety and quality: warm controlled temperature, professional lighting, soundproofed rooms, and an extensive collection of wraps, props, and baskets — a fully-equipped environment that consistently produces gallery-grade results.
Your baby will be photographed:
- Sleeping in soft wraps and bare-skin curls
- In parent arms and against parent skin
- With siblings included (if you’d like)
- In careful basket and bowl setups
Sessions last two to three hours. That sounds long, but it moves easily because we work around feeds, naps, and any pauses your baby needs.
Why Cockeysville Families Choose Ana Koska Photography

I’ve been photographing newborns for over fifteen years — more experience than any photographer currently advertising newborn work in the Cockeysville area.
My work has been recognized as the Best Newborn Photographer in Baltimore in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024 — five separate years.
Featured on Reuters, MSNBC, NBC, Fox, and ABC News.
I mention this not as a list of awards but so Cockeysville families researching photographers can decide quickly: this is someone with more years of experience and more independent recognition than any photographer currently working in the area. The drive south is six minutes — what you get when you arrive is award-level work that consistently produces gallery-grade newborn portraits.
When to Book Your Newborn Session

The best time to schedule a newborn session is during your second trimester, before things get hectic. Booking early secures a window in your due-date range.
The actual session happens within the first five to fourteen days after your baby is born — when newborns still curl easily and sleep deeply.
Most Cockeysville families deliver at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC), about ten to fifteen minutes south of Cockeysville in Towson — named “Best Place to Deliver Your Baby” by Baltimore’s Child Magazine in 2024. My studio is right between Cockeysville and GBMC, so on your way back home from the hospital, you’ll pass right by. Once you’re settled, call or message me and we schedule the session for whatever day works best in that first two-week window.
Cockeysville Newborn Photography Notes
Cockeysville is an established Baltimore County suburb just north of Lutherville-Timonium, with a mix of older established families and young professionals working in the Hunt Valley corporate corridor. It’s a community that values longevity and quality investment — homes built to last, professionals settling down for the long term.
Many of the parents I photograph from Cockeysville are first-time parents looking for award-level newborn portraits, or second-time parents who want studio newborn images that match their older child’s first session. Whatever your situation, the approach is the same: a calm pace, careful safety, and a gallery that holds up on your wall fifteen years from now. Cockeysville is part of my broader Baltimore newborn photography service across the region

Do you photograph at our Cockeysville home, or only in the studio?
Newborn sessions are studio-only at my Lutherville-Timonium location, six minutes south of Cockeysville. The studio is fully set up for newborn photography — controlled temperature, professional lighting, dedicated safety setup, and an extensive prop and wrap collection — so families don’t need to prepare anything at home. The short drive is shorter than the prep an in-home session would typically require.
When should we book if delivering at GBMC?
